I’ve been an on and off blogger for say 15 years now, however have never had the patience to keep something running. I’ve owned this URL for years and haven’t even had a functioning site running for the last 3 years, which I’m sure will scare my Ph.D. supervisors!
However, being settled into an academic career, and completing a Ph.D., I’ve decided that this is as good a time as ever to compile my ramblings. This won’t just be on matters such as Urban Planning, Studentification, or Sustainable Communities, but other things inside the world of politics, society, and current affairs. In a nutshell, if I feel it appropriate to write about it, I will!
I will do my best to differentiate between my professional and personal opinions, however, of course I need to make it clear that my views are my own, and not that of my employer. I know it’s an obvious one to many, but I have to put it out there ‘Just in case’.
I do hope however that my thoughts and ramblings encourage you to do the same, or at the very least engage in conversation about matters that mean something to you. The biggest barrier to hope is silence, so shout your opinions loud and proud! (And listen to others, of course).
