HE Student Experience

My role as a Student Success Advisor Team Leader involves helping to design initiatives to support the student learning experience, from before they arrive, through to graduation and beyond.

Some of the projects I currently work on include:

  • An interactive, pre-arrival programme, to support students into Higher Education at Birmingham City University.
  • A study skills book, to support academic progression into HE for students from non standard academic backgrounds.
  • Utilising live data to support student retention, engagement and success on their course.
  • Providing personal development support for students who are ‘at risk’.
  • Supporting students out of university through a scheme of co-connected employability and development activities.
