My journey in media started at University, where I was the Head of Music for Scratch Radio for 2 years. Here, as well as organising playlists, and working with brand managers, I found myself liaising with record labels and promotors. I actually arranged for Frank Turner to play in our Students’ Union… To about 4 people!
I actually got into motorsport commentary ‘by accident’ in 2011, when all of a sudden I found myself streaming a memorial iRacing race for Dan Wheldon, who had died in a horrific crash at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. I didn’t realise it, but it was an emotional start to a crazy journey in E-Sports.
Between 2012 and 2014, I acted as the lead commentator for Glacier TV, an online eSports broadcaster focusing on iRacing. Following this, I co-founded RaceSpot TV in 2014, to help facilitate a partnership with iRacing and their World Championship broadcasts. This saw me initially oversee commentary talent and their development, before expanding my role to act as chief brand and contracts manager.
At RaceSpot TV, I led the company to growth with the message ‘No gimmicks, just awesome broadcasting’, which remains to this day. My role works to ensure consistency and excellence across all our broadcasts, as well as the way we integrate news, social media and broadcasts.
I have worked with a number of national & international companies including iRacing, IndyCar, NASCAR, Mobil 1, McLaren F1, Mazda, and the Skip Barber Racing School. I have a proven record of co-ordinating and producing memorable events from concept to execution responding to highly complicated and time sensitive situations, respecting the need for non disclosure and handling sensitive information. My work has reached over 500,000 people across the globe and provided both primary and secondary exposure for brands.
I also provide consultancy support to companies and individuals in terms of commentary, eSports and brand development. I also act as a webmaster for a number of websites, providing setup and technical support.
